The European Doctoral Programmes on Metamaterials offer courses within the geographically “Distributed European Doctoral School on Metamaterials”. A Consortium of the members of the European Network of Excellence (NoE) METAMORPHOSE has been established to operate and support the “European Doctoral Degree Programmes on Metamaterials”. The Consortium also regulates the rules of student exchange, joint research, credit transfers, etc. between participating universities.
2007 Summer School Week
This year the Summer School offers a course “Dielectric and Plasmonic Metamaterials: fabrication, properties and modelling techniques” which will introduce students to metamaterial fabrication and characterisation techniques, and modelling of wave phenomena in complex electromagnetic media. The course combines lectures, problem-solving and self-study sessions, and short presentations by the students. The 3 day course will be followed by the 14th International Student Seminar on Microwave and Optical Applications of Novel Physical Phenomena.
